The governing parties SPD and the Greens and the opposition coalition CDU/CSU are proposing early federal elections in Germany. The election is scheduled for February 23, 2025.
The newspaper Rheinische Post and the sources of the news agency Reuters and the news agency AFP tell about it.
The parties have a clear majority in the German Bundestag, i.e. parliament, so their proposal will be implemented.
Liitto days will vote on the government’s confidence in December. According to information from Focus magazine, the vote of confidence could be on December 18, and according to Reuters on December 16.
