Since Europe was able to test it during gamescom last August, inZOI has become one of the most anticipated games, especially among fans of virtual life. Considered by many media and players to be the Sims-killer, this title developed by Krafton was due to arrive at the end of 2024 with its Early Access, but it seems that the teams need additional time to unlock this early access. It is therefore in March 2025 that players, and especially players, will be able to seriously embark on this new adventure under Unreal Engine 5. The Epic Games engine is also highlighted by this title whose ambitions are today ‘now disproportionate. The game director of the game, Hungjun “Kjun” Kim also wrote a letter to everyone concerned.
Hello everyone,
I’m Kjun, producer & director of inZOI.
First of all, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to inZOI fans around the world. Your immense love and concern means everything to us. I was particularly touched by the wonderful reception we received at Gamescom, and it was amazing to see you all create such unique Zois during our “inZOI: Character Studio” demo session.
We were initially hesitant to introduce “Canvas” to the world, not knowing how many people would actually participate. However, the mobilization was incredible, with a huge number of downloads. Seeing so much engagement around the game brought us immense joy, and it was inspiring for us to see how deeply players connected with inZOI. Your comments and ideas have made us aware of the responsibility we have to provide you with the most complete experience possible.
This message therefore reflects this awareness. After reviewing your feedback on inZOI: Character Studio and analyzing a wealth of data from our various playtests, we have decided to delay the release of inZOI Early Access to March 28, 2025. We apologize for not able to bring the game to you sooner, but this decision reflects our commitment to giving inZOI the best possible launch.
It is said that among primates, raising a human child to adulthood takes longer, as humans must be prepared to endure and adapt to their ever-changing environment. Extra love and care is required to raise a baby like this to maturity, that’s how I see our work with inZOI – a game that we will pamper together until it is born in Early Access. This date change reflects our commitment to building a stronger foundation for inZOI, so that we can embark on this journey in the best possible way.
Until the release date, we will continue to work to improve any areas that need attention and strive to create a game that truly captures the essence of life simulations. Our goal is to provide an experience that fans can enjoy for a long time. We’ll keep you updated on our development progress, and we hope many of you will join us on this journey to inZOI Early Access and beyond.
With love,
Kjun
