It is striking that the three agree on many points, despite their different political backgrounds. Van Esch is happy with the attention for the bicycle, at the expense of the car. But on the other hand, she blames the alderman for a lack of attention to greenery, such as trees. And so it is time for a successor. “I think it is refreshing that there is someone else,” says Van Esch in the podcast. Many points that Van Hooijdonk has achieved can count on support from the supporters of the PvdD. But there is a downside: “What has been introduced in recent years has been decided primarily for the city rather than by the city. Of course, there is a real sore point.”
