Working from high security rooms after the drone attack

Benjamin Netanyahu was not at home when Hezbollah sent a drone against his private residence on November 19.

The drone had a broken window but otherwise caused no major damage.

According to Channel 12, he now primarily works from an underground study in the basement of the Prime Minister’s Balfour residence in Jerusalem.

Change meeting places

Usually he works from his office higher up in the building, but since the drone attack he has reportedly been instructed to use the basement and avoid staying in so-called “permanent locations”.

The new guidelines are pointed to as the explanation for why Israel’s cabinet has been holding meetings in various locations recently, and why Netanyahu’s son’s wedding has been postponed indefinitely.

Want to postpone the hearing

Furthermore, the prime minister’s lawyers have submitted a request to postpone the questioning of him in the three corruption cases in which he is suspected.

A request described as expected as the courtroom lacks a security room.

The hearings are scheduled for December 2, but if they get their way, they will be postponed until after the turn of the year.
