At least 20 dead in Israeli attack on Lebanon on Sunday | News in brief

Yesterday, Israeli attacks killed thirty people in the eastern and southern parts of Lebanon.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least 20 people have died in an Israeli attack on the village of Alamati on Sunday, news agencies say.

According to the ministry, three of the dead are children. In addition, six people have been injured.

The village of Aalmati is located about 50 kilometers north of the country’s capital, Beirut.

Yesterday, Israeli attacks killed thirty people in the eastern and southern parts of Lebanon. The Israeli army and the Iranian-backed extremist organization Hezbollah have been firing on each other almost daily near the border between Israel and Lebanon since the Gaza war began.

Israel accelerated its attacks in September and later attacked the border area with ground forces as well. According to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health, more than 3,100 people have been killed in Lebanon since the Gaza war began.
