Just over a year has passed since deafblind Evelina Lindberg lost her personal support of 20 hours a week – a year characterized by ongoing processes and setbacks.
But at the end of October, Piteå municipality granted her four hours of support. Something that Evelina does not think is enough.
– The politicians are starting to wake up and understand, but it’s far too little for me.
Appealed the decisions
Although the processes have been many and long, it is not over. Evelina herself has recently appealed the latest decision.
She wants it to return to normal, as it was before the aid was withdrawn. But she hardly dares to believe it anymore.
– You don’t want to give up hope. Earlier I might have dared to believe it, but now I don’t want to hope for too much, she says.
