Basketball in the NBA Lauri Markkanen The Utah Jazz picked up their second win of the season when the club narrowly defeated the San Antonio Spurs by a score of 111-110.
Markkanen was the second most efficient player on his team with 20 points. For Markkanen, the game was only the second of the season in which the man’s point balance has been 20 or more. The Finnish player also grabbed six rebounds in the match and made four basket assists.
Utah’s power player was Collin Sexton with 23 points. Spurs were the most effective in the match Victor Wembanyama with 24 points.
Although only one-third of Markkanen’s shots went into the basket, the Finn’s performance was clearly smoother than the previous match.
Suffering from back problems, Markkanen was sidelined for three games from the beginning of the month, and Markkanen’s return to the field in the previous match against the Milwaukee Bucks was difficult. In the match that ended in a 100–123 loss, Markkanen scored only eight points.
Seven of Utah’s nine early season games have ended in a loss.
