The sports teacher had asked her student to remove her abaya. She allegedly refused and spat on the teacher before slapping her.
The events took place on Tuesday, November 5, at the Jean-Jaurès high school in Montreuil, in Seine-Saint-Denis. According to information from BFMTVa student arrived in sports class wearing an abaya, an outfit which is no longer authorized in public schools since September 2023. After a remark from the teacher, the student allegedly justified this clothing by ensuring that he had been approved by the CPE (chief education advisor).
A justification which was not accepted by the teacher who insisted that the student change his outfit. She then spat on her, insulted her and slapped her.
The student waiting for a disciplinary council
The physical education and sports teacher filed a complaint at the Montreuil police station, accompanied by teams from the school. The complaint was taken seriously by the Créteil academy which offered functional protection as well as psychological support to the teacher. This is stopped. For her part, the student is excluded from the establishment before knowing the decision of a disciplinary council which must meet soon.
