Black Ops 6 Season 1 – Everything about the release, maps, weapons and content

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will soon start Season 1 and bring new maps and additional content. We have put together all the facts and data about the first season of the shooter for you.

When does Season 1 come out? Season 1 of Black Ops 6 starts on Thursday, November 14, 2024. That’s less than a month after release and is pretty early for Call of Duty. In Germany, the updates are usually activated for players at 6 p.m.

Update, November 8th: The article has been supplemented with new information regarding maps, weapons and modes.

Season 1: All new maps in CoD Black Ops 6

At the launch of Season 1, Treyarch will offer three new maps. The following are known and this is what they look like:

  • Hideout (6 against 6)
  • Extraction (6 against 6)
  • Heirloom (6 against 6 or 2 against 2)

    Three more maps are scheduled to appear in the mid-season, but when that will be is not yet known. The maps also include a map that players should know from Black Ops 4:

    New map for Warzone: Warzone can also look forward to new content when the mode is integrated into Black Ops 6. With Season 1 the map area 99 will be added; it is a Resurgence card.

    Season 1: All new modes

    In addition to maps, there will also be two new modes for multiplayer. This includes:

  • Ransack
  • You have to secure gold from crates and then bring your loot to your teammates’ camp. Be careful, however, because your opponents can storm your camp and steal from you. Coordinated team play is particularly necessary here.
  • Prop Hunt
  • Prop Hunt is a classic from CoD. There are the seekers and those who have to hide. The players to be hidden transform themselves into different things in order to hide on the map – such as a wooden box. The searching players win if they have found all the hiding players, and the hidden players win if the timer runs out beforehand.

  • Battle Royale (120 players)
  • Resurgence (solos, duos, trios, quads)
  • plunder (120 players)
  • Ranked play (mid-season)

    • Season 1 brings Ranked Mode

    Ranked mode in multiplayer will be playable in Season 1 from November 21st. The skins and new rules are already known, which you should know before you start. The skins available for ranked mode are, as always, simple – except for the champion skin.

    Now let’s come to some rules and innovations:

  • Access to Ranked Mode: To gain access to Ranked mode, you need at least 50 wins in Matchmade Multiplayer. Treyarch wants to ensure that no newcomers get into your squads.
  • This is how you ascend: You rise through the ranks by earning SR by winning ranked matches. SRs are awarded after each victory in ranked play, and the amount of SR earned is based on the player’s distance from their expected rank, their game performance, and the margin of victory. SRs are deducted after defeats.
  • Veto for maps and modes: Before the start of your round, there will be three map and mode combinations that you can veto. If both teams have decided on the same object, one of the two remaining options is chosen at random.
  • You can soon give up: Treyarch will soon give you the option to forfeit a match. You can then vote as a team to end a match early if you are completely screwed or have one less team member. The loss will then be counted as a normal loss and will not result in any SR penalties or suspensions.
  • Forgiveness of losses: You will be forgiven for the first defeat of the day. This bonus cannot be stacked.

    Season 1: All new weapons

    There should be no shortage of weapons, because so far there will be 7 weapons over the course of the season that you can unlock during the season and through events. In addition, 2 new attachments should provide variety:

    New perks, kill streak and wildcard in Season 1

    Treyarch also has a few things planned for your loadouts that you should know. These include two new perks, a new kill streak and a wildcard:

  • Shadow – Released at launch
  • Perk slot: 2
  • Type: Strategist
  • Shrapnel Radar – Mid-Season Release
  • Kill streak
  • Hand Cannon – From CoD: Cold War and released at launch
  • Type: Lethal
  • Score: 900
  • Mastery Badges: Yes
  • Wildcard
  • High rollers
  • Allows you to equip a fourth killstreak.

    • Season 1 Zombies: Directed Mode and new map

    In Season 1 there will soon be directed mode for the zombies. This mode lets you focus completely on the story at the launch of Season 1. You can reach a maximum of round 15 and all steps of the Easter Egg are marked so that you don’t miss any steps.

    In addition, the story of the protagonists from the map “Terminus” continues. A new map is supposed to appear called “Citadelle des Morts” (Mid-Season). This takes you to Europe to an abandoned castle. However, what awaits you there is still unknown.

    Season 1 Zombies: New Items

    To make the fight against the undead even more varied, Treyarch has come up with new items that you can test during Season 1. The following is known:

  • A new mod for ammunition
  • 18 new augments
  • 3 new GobbleGums
  • The hand cannon you can build
  • New miracle weapons
  • New enemy type
