How long was Fredrik Neij in prison?
Only four years later, in November 2014, was Fredrik Neij arrested in Thailand. He had to sit in a Swedish prison and had served two-thirds of his sentence when he was released in the summer of 2015.
A few days later, Fredrik Neij told the site about his time behind bars TorrentFreak.
– It wasn’t so bad in prison. It was definitely worth going to jail for The Pirate Bay, especially when you consider how much the website means to people, he said, continuing:
– Like most people, I only knew the prison from American movies. Now that I have my own experience, I am happy to say that it is quite different. Unlike the barred cells for two people in the movies, here I have my own private ten square meter room, with a real door and no bars on the window.

Fredrik Neij does not work with The Pirate Bay today. After Neij was released from prison, he left the project, something he then told Jönköpings-Posten, according to The Express.
– I have now handed it over to people who were willing to carry it on, he said then.

How was the relationship between Fredrik Neij, Peter Sunde and Gottfrid Svartholm?
One might think that the relationship between The Pirate Bay founders was good, but it seems that was not the case.
Peter Sunde has previously told Café that the trio often ended up in conflict when they weren’t working on the project.
– Gottfrid and Fredrik could call me a feminist cunt. We could barely stand being in the same room. Except when we worked with The Pirate Bay. Then everything worked.

On November 8, the series “The Pirate Bay” premieres on SVT Play and on November 11 the first episode is broadcast on SVT1.
Director is Jens Sjogrenwho earlier this year told Gala Magazine what it was like to direct the series.
– I have really loved following and portraying all these characters and their respective driving forces. I’ve tried to manage the story with the same drive as the characters in the series and to do it at a high pace, the same pace that is racing in my head and with a hell of a punk and will. Creating understanding for the tireless struggle of both sides and thereby pouring blood into one of the most emotional and rebellious stories of our time is a director’s dream.
