It was early 2024 as the friends Stella Cocozza and Hanna Friberg started the podcast “30s in the city” which was about single life in New York.
The podcast quickly ended up at the top of the podcast charts and success was a fact. But after two seasons it became quiet and the girls stopped hanging out.

Now everyone asked themselves the question: What actually happened?
In this week’s episode of “More than just mom” Stella visits the girls Ines Kokic and Kenza Zouiten Subosic who quickly asks Stella for her take on what happened.
– I have so much I could tell you about this but I will choose to be the bigger person. I don’t want to throw anyone under the bus as Hanna has been my best friend and I have even seen her as my sister, Stella begins.

– Even though we are not friends now or even podcast colleagues, I want to respect her.
Stella continues to tell me that she is “sad as hell that the podcast is no more” but that it all has to do with something that Hanna and Stella already told.
– It started with us making an undemanding first season, a little adventure in New York and fun stuff. An extra income that we then shared 50/50.

– But then when the podcast went so well and was going to do a second season, Hanna wanted a division that was 70/30.. so 70 percent to her and 30 percent to me. This is nothing secret because we have talked about it openly on Youtube. So it is information that is public. Now I’m just telling you what I really thought about it.

– I agreed because I wanted the podcast so badly. I did most of the work but Hanna felt that it would be worth it for her… as she already has another podcast and more followers and so on, says Stella.
Can Stella Cocozza and Hanna Friberg podcast again?
Stella goes on to say that life on the road became very expensive and she was unable to do her second job remotely. This made her completely dependent on the income the podcast provided.
– When it became insanely expensive to live, I needed to bring in more money. So yes.. when I had enough was when we released a paid episode we pulled in a lot of money, so I felt it was very unfair. So the whole breakup rubbed me so much and hurt my soul so much that it didn’t work out in the end. And that’s not my view of friendship either. You can’t be friends with someone who wants to distribute it in this way, concludes Stella.

Inez and Kenza then ask Stella if today she would have considered picking up the podcast again if Hanna Friberg wanted to.
– I think it is so infected… even though it would be different conditions, it would feel strange.
Nyheter24 is looking for Hanna Friberg, who has not yet returned.
