Charlotte Baris: After these three episodes devoted to Ukraine, you are certainly waiting, dear listeners, for the military component. And logically I once again asked the L’Express Monde service to lend me their cards. There are combat zones, regions under Russian control, and even points of tension on the open sea.
Our last update of these military maps was in early September. We spoke with Paul Véronique, a journalist specializing in Defense issues at the editorial office, about the Kursk oblast, a region in western Russia. The Ukrainians had managed to take more than 1000 square km in this area, hoping to disrupt the Russian army and tip the war.
But as winter approaches, the situation on the ground is actually becoming more and more difficult for Volodymyr Zelensky’s army. We explain everything to you in this episode.
