Now Ebba speaks out about the big rumor about the Norwegian ski queen.
The ski season is fast approaching and for the Swedish cross-country star Ebba Andersson it will be a very special one. She enters the upcoming WC season as the reigning WC queen but now faces an old rival from the past.
Johaug’s comeback
It was at the beginning of August that the long-awaited announcement became official. After it had been speculated for months, stepped Therese Johaug out and said that she is making a comeback again, after ending her career in 2022 and giving birth since then.

The Norwegian ski queen’s comeback obviously sends chills through the entire ski elite in cross-country skiing. The Swedish national ski team clearly notices the new competition from the neighboring country.
– It will be tougher for us. We can’t have the same expectations for gold medals when she’s back, that’s right. She is the favourite, says the national team manager Anders Byström to Norwegian NRK.
– If you want to win WC gold, you have to beat Therese too. The feeling of it is something completely extra.

Andersson’s answer
Ebba Andersson takes up the challenge and in the distance races she is happy to meet Therese Johaug again. Now the Swede is also forced to respond to the rumor that the Norwegian is at least as good as before she had children.
– A rumor is always a rumor, but there is probably quite a lot of truth in it. One must also not forget that, hopefully, one’s own development and actually skiing in general has taken a few steps since she put the skis on the shelf. Or rather; “took a little break”, which we now get to see, says Ebba in an interview on Youtube, see it below.

Andersson is still in good spirits before the great challenge of facing Johaug again during the ski WC.
– I try to be optimistic and see the possibilities of her being back, says the Swedish cross-country skier in the interview below.
