Donald Trump won a landslide victory over Kamala Harris.
At the moment, he looks set to get 311 electors – the largest margin since Obama’s victory in 2012.
But nowhere near super winners like Ronald Reagan and George HW Bush.
Donald Trump won by a much larger margin than all opinion polls suggested ahead of Monday’s US election.
Largest margin in twelve years
At the moment, he looks to be going for a total of 311 electors to Kamala Harris’ 226, the largest victory figure since 2012 when Barack Obama beat Mitt Romney with 332 to 206 electors.
Still, it’s nowhere near modern record victories like Ronald Reagan’s 1984 or George HW Bush’s 1988.

Thought it was wrong
When Hollywood star Reagan ran for re-election in 1984 against Democrat Walter Mondale, the margin of victory was so extremely large that many thought something was wrong.
Reagan won by 525 electoral votes to Mondale’s paltry 13.

George WH Bush also won big when he ran against Democrat Michael Dukakis in 1988. Bush got 426 electoral votes to Dukakis’ 112.
According to the History Channel, even the father of the country, Abraham Lincoln, won big in 1864 by the standards of the time. Lincoln received 212 electors to rival General McLellan’s 12.
