Netflix launch of new Harlan Coben series officially confirmed

Some time ago, Netflix secured the name Harlan Coben as a reliable source for new, successful crime series. Just in time for the start of the new year, the streaming service released one of the following: In Eternal Debt greatest hits from the Coben cosmos. Now this success should be repeated.

I miss you (originally: Missing You) is the title of the latest thriller drama, which is based on a literary source by Coben. After the project was announced a long time ago, we finally know when the series will arrive on Netflix. We don’t have to wait too long for the crime replenishment.

When does I Miss You start on Netflix?

Now it’s official: I Miss You starts on January 1, 2025 on Netflix, exactly one year after the last Harlan Coben film adaptation. The first season includes a total of five episodes. There will most likely not be a second season as the project was conceived as a miniseries. You can check out the poster below.

“Nothing burns like an old flame”is the tagline of the series. The ominous words are followed by a direct translation of them on the poster: A country house goes up in flames. The four-member main cast hovers above: Jessica Plummer, Rosalind Eleazar, Richard Armitage and Lenny Henry.

All fans of the Coben film adaptations should sit up and take notice at this point. Wait, Richard Armitage? Again?! Yes, actually! I miss you marks the fourth (!) Coben series with Armitage in a leading role. He previously starred in I am silent for you (2020), Who once lies (2021) and In eternal guilt (2024).

The Harlan Coben universe on Netflix continues to grow

The following Coben film adaptations were also created under the Netflix umbrella: The Grave in the Forest (2020) and No Peace to the Dead (2021), No Sign of Life (2021) and They See You (2022). Another one is in development and will also be released soon: the Argentinian production In His Hands (2024).

However, the stories are not connected to each other. The Coben cosmos on Netflix is no cinematic universein which the paths of the characters cross and all the storylines merge into one another. So you can watch I Miss You without any problem, even if you haven’t seen any of the other series yet.
