Robert Ohlsson is fired by Skellefteå AIK after the words to fans

Hockey coach Robert Ohlsson led Skellefteå to the SM gold last spring.
Ohlsson is now being fired after just over three seasons at the club.

It has previously been clear that Robert Ohlsson will not continue at the club after the current season, but after 25 points in 17 games and a seventh place in the table, the coach can leave now.

“Our common intention was to complete one last season together, but after an overall assessment, we have concluded that it is better for Skellefteå AIK Hockey, both in the short and long term, that we make a change now,” says Daniel Fåhraeus, club director to the website.

Ohlsson took over Skellefteå ahead of the 2021–2022 season. In the last two seasons, he has led the Västerbottensklubben to the SC final and this spring it won gold after a 4-1 win against Rögle in matches.

The club also reached the final of the Champions Hockey League last season, but there was a loss against the Swiss Servette.
