Environment Minister Romina Pourmokhtari (L) likes a post by Kamala Harris about legalizing marijuana.
But neither the minister herself nor her press secretary wants to answer why.
On Sunday, Climate and Environment Minister Romina Pourmokhtari (L) liked a post by Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
The post on Instagram is about legalizing marijuana for personal use.
Presidential candidate Harris writes:
“I will legalize marijuana for personal use, remove unfair legal barriers and create opportunities for all Americans to succeed in this new industry.”
The post has been liked by Romina Pourmokhtari.
However, neither the minister herself nor her press department wants to answer why she liked the post.
“If the Prime Minister likes a post on social media, it does not mean that the content of the post becomes the government’s policy,” writes her press secretary in a text message to Aftonbladet, adding that the reply is not a quote from the minister.
Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has previously said that neither he nor the government has a favorite candidate in the election.
– I do not think that Sweden as a country or government should take a stand, said the Prime Minister in SVT’s “30 minutes” this spring.
Aftonbladet has applied for Ulf Kristersson.
