Shortly before the Olympic Games in Paris, Netflix released the thematically appropriate shark horror film In the Water of the Seine, in which a triathlon is interrupted by a cruel shark attack and turns into a bitter survival thriller. The French film by Xavier Gens became a real surprise hit for the streamer and landed at over 100,000 102 million views even in the All Time Top 10 at number 2 among non-English language films.
No wonder Netflix wants to continue telling this incredible success story. In the water of the Seine 2 is now finally in the clear.
