Energy transition Enel launches the new edition of Energies for

(Finance) – Provide young people with the skills necessary to undertake the new professions of the energy transition and be hired in Enel’s related companies immediately after completing their studies. With this objective Enl launches the fourth edition of “Energy for school”, training program that promotes collaboration between companies and technical and professional institutes, promoting the effective insertion of students into the world of work.

This year the program aims to involve over 5 thousand fifth year students, more than 110 schools and around 70 energy related companies. From north to south, the calendar of open days from October to December is full of opportunities: students from Tuscany to Lazio, from Veneto to Piedmont, from Lombardy to Emilia Romagna, from Campania to the Islands, will discover how they can contribute to change thanks to skills that they will acquire with “Energie per la Scuola”.

With the program Enel wants to give a concrete answer to the problem of the misalignment between supply and demand of technical skills in the labor market, guaranteeing training aimed at the challenges of the energy transition.

The project represents an extraordinary opportunity for growth on multiple fronts: for young people, who acquire skills sought by the job market; for schools, which improve their educational offering; and for companies in the electricity and renewable supply chain, which, thanks to the project, will be able to count on specialized personnel who will help them carry out crucial projects for the country’s development.
The training course, starting in January, is divided into two phases: a first which consists of 120 hours of basic theoretical/practical training and a second which includes at least one practical post-diploma specialist course to obtain a professional qualification aimed at employment in Enel’s partner companies.

From network technicians to specialists working in photovoltaic, wind, geothermal and storage systems, there are numerous profiles that will be trained thanks to this program and which will have a key role in creating increasingly efficient electricity networks and boosting the development of renewables.

From 2021 to today, the program has already recorded the participation of over 8 thousand students, over 110 schools and 65 companies facilitating the insertion of more than a thousand young people into the job market. “Data which – underlines Enel in a note – demonstrate the success of the initiative, part of the broader path started by Enel to reduce the employment gap and guarantee excellent training for young people who wish to build a sustainable and innovative future for Italy “.
