A man was stabbed early Sunday morning near the corner of Kathleen Avenue and Indian Road in Sarnia, say city police.

A 25-year-old victim with stab wounds to his leg, back, abdomen and hand was treated by paramedics and then taken to hospital, Sarnia police said in a news release.
Police were called out to the scene just before 4 am
A suspect who went into a nearby house on Kathleen Avenue was arrested when officers saw him leave sometime later, police said.
A 31-year-old Sarnia resident is charged with aggravated assault, uttering threats to cause bodily harm, as well as a weapon offense.
Police said the victim and suspect are known to each other and a weapon was recovered at the scene.

Collision sends parked vehicle into garage
A 41-year-old Sarnia man has been charged with impaired driving after a truck slammed into a parked car early Sunday morning and sent it into a garage, say city police.

It happened just after 1:30 am on Winchester Crescent at Wiltshire Drive where a truck collided with a car parked in a driveway.
Occupants of the home weren’t injured but had to leave so the structural integrity of the house could be assessed, police said.
Officers called to the house saw a driver showing signs of intoxication attempting to exit a passenger door and beverage containers were found on the vehicle floor, police said.
The suspect was taken to the police station where he provided breath samples indicating a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit, police said.
Items worth more than $70,000 taken in Plympton-Wyoming break-in
Police are searching for suspects in a break-in where equipment and a truck valued at more than $70,000 in total were taken.
Lambton OPP said in a news release the break-in happened sometime between Thursday and Friday at a property on Michigan Line.
Missing items include a Yanmar compact tractor, Ferris zero-turn mower, a 1965 Chevrolet half ton pickup and a Lycoming aircraft engine.
