It was around midnight that the police were alerted to a loud bang around Saltsjöbaden outside Stockholm.
– We have a car where something exploded, in a residential area, says Daniel Wikdahl, press spokesperson at the police.
It should only be the car that has been damaged. No one is said to have been injured.
– It is not completely destroyed. We don’t know what exploded, we will investigate. But we have to get the national bomb shelter here first, says Wikdahl.
The police are investigating the incident as public vandalism.
– We have no suspects or detainees. We are now working to knock on doors in the area and maintain the cordons.
Police have no suspects or arrests at this time.
