The Spanish royal couple were attacked by angry flood victims as they visited one of the worst-hit areas on Sunday.
“Murderers, Murderers”, shouted crowds and, among other things, threw mud at the royal couple.
Spain’s King Felipe, Queen Letizia and Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez visited on Sunday the town of Paiporta in Valencia, an area worst hit by the flood disaster.
However, it was not welcomed by the crowds that had gathered around the delegation’s arrival and chanted “murderers, murderers”.
The royal couple, who were surrounded by security guards and police, had mud and other objects thrown at them by angry Spaniards. It shows pictures from the location.
Queen Letizia and Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez canceled the visit, while King Felipe VI and Valencia regional leader Carlos Mazón tried to calm the situation.

– Everyone knew this, but still you did nothing!, says an upset young man who is standing and talking to the king up close.
New warnings issued
A total of 213 people have died in the floods in the country.
The government has been heavily criticized for its handling of the disaster, including for not warning residents in time. The warning must have been sent when the flood had already started, which contributed to the fact that many could not be evacuated.
The rescue and clean-up work is in full swing, and many are still missing.
New warnings for heavy rain have been issued, including a red warning, the highest level, in the province of Almería in eastern Andalusia.
