Filip Lindberg’s injured goalkeeper’s contract is valid until the Christmas break.
SaiPa, which is fourth in the Ice Hockey SM League, announced on Sunday about the goalkeeper confirmation. 26-year-old Latvian goalkeeper Gustavs Davis Grigals place by Filip Lindberg the goalkeeping department, which has been reduced due to injury.
The contract is valid until the Christmas break, but SaiPa has the option to extend the contract until the end of the season.
Gustavs Grigals was a contract player in the Nashville Predators organization last season. Last season, he played one game in the AHL with the Milwaukee Admirals and 34 games in the ECHL with the Atlanta Gladiators with a save percentage of 90.
This season, Grigals moved from North America to Europe in the middle of the season and has played three games for the Dukla Trencin team of the Slovak premier league with a save percentage of 91.1.
Grigals has played in the Latvian national team in two World Cups.
