All unique items and where to find them

In Dragon Age: The Veilguard you can equip your character Rook with various pieces of equipment. A few special parts stand out: the unique items highlighted in red. MeinMMO lists all of these special items and tells you how to get them.

What are unique items? In The Veilguard, all items have special effects. However, unique items particularly stand out and are so special that they can basically define a build on their own.

Unlike regular items, you cannot upgrade or upgrade unique items. But they come with significantly increased basic values, which easily outperform all other items, especially early in the game. By the way, you can also enchant them.

All unique weapons and shields with location

  • The Hard Way (Axe): In the south center of Treviso. You can reach the roof of a building from the “Streets of the Ringing Coin” fast travel point via scaffolding. Push the book shelf aside, the chest is on the balcony.
  • Meredith’s Legacy (Sword): Rewarded for Treasure of the Sharkmaw Caverns after completing Taash’s quests.
  • Mythal’s Light (Sword): You must convince Mythal to help you without fighting her.

  • Pillar of the Deceased (Hard): In the boss room after defeating the possessed undead dragon in the Necropolis (after the quest “Restless Spirits”).
  • Extravagant Plate Armor (Heavy): From the Master of Destiny merchant from rank 4.
  • Resolve of the Empire (Hard): At the Shadow Dragon Merchant from rank 4. Remember that your choice between Minrathous and Treviso has consequences here.
  • Arlathan’s Fall (medium): From the Veiljumper merchant from rank 4.
  • Feathers of the Angry Crow (medium): From the Crow Merchant from rank 4. Remember that your decision between Minrathous or Treviso has consequences.
  • Master’s Completion (Easy): In the canals of Docktown after fighting a demon. You see the chest early, but only reach it after a number of side quests near the end of the game.
  • Commander’s Presence (Easy): At the Gray Warden merchant from rank 4.
  • All unique helmets with location

  • Arment the Crow (Hard): At the Black Emporium in Docktown; you receive the invitation late in the game.
  • Field Commander’s Helmet (Heavy): In the south of the Hossberg Wetlands, after destroying the Pustule and destroying the boss there.
  • Silent Gaze of the Paragon (Medium): In a chest during Harding’s final personal quest.
  • Last Breaths (Medium): Reward for the Mourning Watch’s Haunting questline.

  • Maw of the Black City: Defeat 50 Darkspawn in the Crossroads. You can find the chest in the Corrupted Tree in the northeast.
  • Call of the Hall: Defeat 10 waves in the arena in the Hall of Valor.
  • Crookedtail’s Crest: Solve the statue puzzle on Rivain Coast. Only accessible after completing Taash’s quests.

  • Glorious Ultimatum: Reward for the quest: “Even the Dead Tell”.
  • Jenny’s Belt: Travel to the central fast travel point in Treviso after completing all side quests there and go to the Dellamorte Estate. There you will find a statue puzzle in the courtyard:
  • uses Lucanis’ power to interact with the rifts
  • rotate the statues in the direction that the ghost images that appear are facing
  • flip the levers that you can reach with your hands

  • Although unique items have the advantage of being inherently strong, they are usually overtaken by fully upgraded normal items. Nevertheless, their unique effects are sometimes useful for playing completely crazy builds.
