The police in Skien received several alarms about an armed man wearing a robber’s hat during Saturday afternoon. Despite the fact that, according to the callers, the man did not threaten anyone, a large police hunt was launched.
The description was initially a man in black clothes and a black robber’s cap, with a handgun in one hand, reports NRK.
Shortly after 2 p.m., the police announced that they had made contact with the suspect – an underage boy who had been to a Halloween party.
– We follow up with preventive calls, says operations leader Øystein Paus Eikedalen to the channel.

A cyclist in his 80s has died after colliding with a car in Uppsala.
The accident happened at 2 pm on Saturday.
– The man was traveling on a bicycle and collided with a car at an intersection, says Camilla Aggring, commander at the police.

On the Swedish Transport Agency’s website it is stated that the accident has a major impact on traffic and that there are two cars in the left lane.

A ten-year-old girl has died after she was bitten by a dog in North Yorkshire in England, the BBC reports.
The incident happened in the girl’s home and it was the family’s own dog that bit her.

Now a man in his 30s has been arrested.

A man suspected of killing a local mayor and another person in Austria earlier this week has been found dead, police said.
A major search effort for the “extremely dangerous” man was launched on Monday, after the two dead people were found.
A “dispute over hunting rights” was probably behind the shooting, according to officials.
Hundreds of police officers and also helicopters have been involved in the search, mainly in the Mühlviertel region in northern Austria. On Saturday, the man was found dead, the suspect probably took his own life according to the police.
The body was found near a vehicle he abandoned in the woods, near where he is accused of killing the victims.

The accident happened at 16:30.
Two people have been taken to hospital by ambulance, but the extent of their injuries is unknown.
The cars will be towed from the scene and a report will be written about not having adapted the suspension to the vehicle in front.

A person has become stuck on a rock ledge outside Tjörn.
The emergency services were on the scene.
– It is an adult who has been walking around and then got stuck, says Lidija Bradaric, alarm and line operator.
The sea rescue helicopter is also involved, and was able to winch the person up from the ledge and winch them back home in a boat that was able to drive ashore.
– An ambulance was waiting there and did a check. The person was awake and talkative and able to walk, says Mats Gränsmark, commanding officer of the rescue service.
The alarm came in shortly before 3 p.m.

The UN meeting COP16 in Colombia has ended, writes AFP.
The meeting, which was actually supposed to be finished on Friday, dragged heavily over time. In the end, there were so few delegates left that the meeting ended before some of the most important issues were dealt with, writes Dagens Nyheter.
A woman has been found dead in an apartment in Lund.
The woman’s injuries indicate that she may have been subjected to violence.
Relatives have been notified. Police are tight-lipped about the incident, but say they are investigating the incident as a homicide.
– She is of adult age, but I do not go into age anymore, says Evelina Olsson, press spokesperson at the police.
– We have blocked off the apartment and are waiting for technicians. We also work with information retrieval.
A man in his 60s was arrested during the afternoon on suspicion of murder.
A 35-year-old man entered a hospital armed with a knife in the Padua province of Italy on Saturday, reports Il Resto del Carlino.
The man attacked several people. A doctor, a nurse and two police officers who tried to stop him were injured.
No one is reported to have been killed.
