In Serbia an investigation into the collapse of the train

Interior Minister Ivica Dačić said the police seized documents related to the railway station from the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure.

In Serbia, the authorities have started an investigation into the accident that happened on Friday, in which 14 people died after the roof of the train station collapsed in the city of Novi Sad.

Minister of the Interior by Ivica Dačić according to which the determination of liability issues in the case has begun. Dačić told TV Prva on Saturday that 20 people are to be questioned during the day, including personnel from ministries and the railway company.

The minister said that the police seized documents related to the railway station from the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure.

The prosecutor’s office, on the other hand, said that it had ordered the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure to be questioned.

Novi Sad railway station reopened in July after three years of renovations. According to Serbian Railways, the collapsed part of the roof was not among the repaired parts.
