The missing couple in Boxholm are believed to have been found dead

Two people have been found dead in the forest in Strålsnäs.
They are believed to be the elderly couple who were reported missing on Monday..
– It looks like a tragic accident. We do not suspect any crime, says Angelica Forsberg, press spokesperson for the police in the East region.

The elderly couple who disappeared while they were out picking mushrooms in Boxholm’s forests are believed to have been found dead. The people were found during a search operation organized by Missing people.

– We have received the information that a couple has died in the search area in which the couple has disappeared. We have a patrol that will arrive in a little while, says police RLC officer Emelie Jonsson.

The bodies have been found in a wooded area in Strålsnäs. It is not yet confirmed that it is the missing couple that has been found. Relatives are, however, informed.

The couple from Mjölby have been missing since Monday and the police ended their active search on Wednesday.

The police have previously started a preliminary investigation into kidnapping, however without concrete suspicions of crime.
