Skeleton Crew is set after the events of Return of the Jedi and officially belongs to the Mandoversewhich is made up of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka. The series was inspired by the Amblin films of the 1980s. This puts the series in the same vein as Stranger Things.
The newly released Skeleton Crew trailer makes no secret of this. Films like ET and Explorers immediately come to mind. On a musical level, too, the new Star Wars series leans playfully into 80s nostalgia. And the poster looks like someone found an old VHS tape in the attic.

Star Wars: When does Skeleton Crew start on Disney+?
Skeleton Crew launches in the US on December 3, 2024. In Germany we will probably get the first episode on the night of December 4th, 2024 to face. At the start there is a double episode. The first season includes a total of eight chapters.
