Zombie mode in Black Ops 6 can be very complicated if you’re playing it for the first time. We will therefore show you 15 tips for beginners.
These tips are aimed primarily at beginners and inexperienced players. Since Terminus is the much more difficult map, we will primarily focus on Liberty Falls in the tips. There, beginners can learn and understand the game principle more easily. Now let’s get straight to the tips:
Tip 1: Research augmentations
Before you start a round in Zombie Mode, you should make sure that you are actively researching an augmentation. The augmentations improve your equipment. You have to collect XP to explore, so it involves a lot of grinding and you want to save time.
Tip 2: Get free loot from the snack machine
You can get free loot at Liberty Falls by fighting a snack machine at the motel. This can even drop the Raygun if you equip the “Melee Macchiato” perk beforehand (although this destroys the machine). You can find the perk at the main entrance to the church.
Simply perform a melee attack on this machine:
Tip 3: Find the right place and stay there
Find a place/path where you can easily kite even large hordes of zombies and stay on that path. On your kite site, move quite far to the edge so that you can continue running at the end of the path on the other edge (on the opposite side). On this path you then do one lap after the other.
Places suitable for kiting are:
What is “kiting”? In PvE games, kiting means maintaining the aggressiveness of a mob without getting into its attack range.
Tip 4: Always kite solo
If you play with friends, everyone should have their own kite spot (see tip 3). You want to divide the horde among all your friends. If 2 players fight in the same place, it will only cause chaos and you will suddenly face too many opponents and, in the worst case, be surrounded.
Tip 5: Leave the last zombie alive and breathe deeply
If you need a few seconds of rest or time to buy or upgrade your equipment, you can specifically leave the last zombie in a wave alive. This then follows you.
The next wave only starts when you destroy the last zombie. If you wait, you can either take a deep breath or give your friends in the co-op the chance to visit the quiet place.
Tip 6: Improve your weapons
You can improve your weapon rarity with scrap at the Arsenal machine, for example if you don’t want to make a wall purchase or don’t have the necessary essence to buy it. High rarity becomes important as the round progresses to achieve more damage.
This also applies to the so-called “punching”. You can punch a weapon in the church, giving it a larger magazine and dealing more damage. Plus, it makes her look cooler.
(Attention, the ammunition for the weapon is more expensive after punching)
Tip 8: Treat yourself to free loot in the vault
You can open a safe in Liberty Falls where you can find free loot. The vault can contain weapons, armor plates, extras and even field upgrades like a Hellstorm – even with a higher rarity level. It can even drop the Raygun.
You can stay inside the safe for up to 45 seconds. When you leave, a shock wave is triggered, allowing you to leave the building in peace. Note that opening a locker requires loot keys, which you get randomly from Manglers and high-level zombies.
You can read how to open the safe here:
Tip 8: Get a guaranteed Insta kill
At the back of the church you can shoot a skull on the roof of the church, which will then give you an Insta-kill. This only works once per round, but it can save you from failure at the right moment.
Tip 9: There is a guaranteed nuke that will help you exfil
If you want to exfiltrate Liberty Falls, you have to get to the roof of the bank and eliminate the zombie horde present before the countdown ends. If any zombies are still alive when you get into the helicopter, your exfiltration will fail and you will be dead.
Exfiltration is collection by helicopter
However, you can find a guaranteed nuke on the roof of the bank, which will pulverize the zombies and make your exile easier. To do this, climb onto the skylight and look through the hole in the window. You should see the nuke symbol there and be able to trigger the bomb with a shot at the symbol.
Tip 10: Make a pistol one of the best weapons
The “GS-45” pistol can become a “Mustang & Sally” in zombie mode if you play it in the Akimbo variant and punch it in the church. “Mustang & Sally” is considered one of the strongest weapons in zombie mode because the pistols fire grenade launcher ammunition after punching.
Tip 11: Zombie rain with free loot
At the church you can see a head on the steeple. If you destroy it with something explosive, you will trigger an Easter egg in which zombies fall from the sky. These zombies leave loot on the ground, including field upgrades.
You can trigger the Easter Egg with a grenade or with explosive weapons like Mustang & Sally or the RAD Lamblaster.
Tip 12: A machine with special perks
In Liberty Falls, from round 25, a machine spawns on the roof of the bank from which you can buy all perks – including Deadshot Daiquiri. It doesn’t exist anywhere else on the map.
Deadshot Daiquiri is a powerful perk that increases your damage. This makes head hits in particular even more effective.
Tip 13: There is Deadshot Daiquiri before round 25
There is a small Easter egg at the church cemetery that gives you a one-time free Deadshot Daiqiri. To do this, you have to shoot some cans from a bridle with perfect precision.
Tip 14: Protect yourself from self-inflicted damage
With the “PhD Flopper” perk you are immune to all self-inflicted damage and status effects. This is very useful when playing explosive weapons like the Raygun, Mustang and Sally or a punched sniper. The explosion no longer causes you any damage.
Tip 15: Stock up on the most important Perk-a-Colas early
The various perks give you a noticeable advantage in zombie mode. That’s why you shouldn’t wait too long to secure the necessary perks – regardless of whether you’re playing solo or with friends.
