Swedish football is still mourning the death of Sven-Göran Eriksson.
Now Nancy Dell’Orio comes forward and opens up about the former partner.
– He was definitely my exact opposite, she says in tonight’s episode of “Bergfeldt”.
The 13th of September was spent Sven-Göran Eriksson to his final rest and was buried in his hometown Torsby. The trainer icon was 76 years old and died in the aftermath of incurable pancreatic cancer.
Svenni’s passing
The funeral in Fryksände church was attended by many of his loved ones and a lot of local residents who came to say goodbye. English superstar David Beckham was there and so was the former partner Nancy Dell’Orio.

She and “Svennis” were together from 1998 to 2007 and have meant a lot to each other even afterwards.
– I have so many beautiful memories of him. Sven is a part of me and always will be. A part of my heart will belong to him forever, Nancy told the local newspaper NWT after the ceremony.
Nancy admits
63-year-old Dell’Orio is a guest on Friday evening Carina Bergfeldts talk show on SVT and then opens up about what it was like to have a relationship with Sven-Göran Eriksson.
– Sven was even worse than my Sicilian boyfriend. He was incredibly jealous. It might be insulting to call someone that, but that’s what love can do. He had many qualities that I do not have. He was definitely my exact opposite, she says in “Bergfeldt”.
– I hope he was proud of me, but at the same time he didn’t always like showing me off in public. He was a very private person, but we didn’t have much privacy.

Nancy Dell’Orio also remembers Svennis as an extremely romantic and caring person, even when they were not in a romantic relationship.
– He sent me flowers anonymously every day. One day he said he would send 150 roses. I then told him not to, but then my living room was completely full. My husband laughed and asked: “Who is this crazy person?”, she says in the SVT program.
