Sadistic gays, feminist incels and girls who can’t say no – Aftonbladet podcast

Sadistic gays feminist incels and girls who cant say no

Happy Halloween dear Bambinos! In this week’s episode, there will be book club and fine fiction when Tone and Karin talk about a very readable new collection of short stories by the American author Tony Tulathimutte.
Tulathimutte’s mega-acclaimed book “Rejection” has been called the first really good incel novel and is mainly about being sexually and romantically rejected, but also about internet culture, identity and loneliness.
In the book’s linked short stories, we meet characters who all struggle to find an identity and who are rejected in different ways. We follow, among other things, a male feminist, a tech bro who is looking for a high value woman, a guy who is obsessed with pornographic bdsm and a girl who becomes unfriended with the girls in her group chat. It’s dark, funny and EXTREMELY contemporary about life falling apart.
But do people like this really exist? How brain damaged are we getting from Reddit? Karin wonders why people don’t go out and meet at a party instead? Was dressing up a good career choice? And Tone recognizes himself in less flattering things.
