I have never seen Zlatan Ibrahimovic this human and vulnerable

He has always been a lion or a god.
We all know Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s great confidence.
But now he shows his human and vulnerable side for the first time.

This is a comment. The opinions are the writer’s own.

Ever since Zlatan Ibrahimovic broke through as a teenager in Malmö FF, his cocky and confident personality has been his hallmark. In the beginning, he offered funny antics with a twinkle in his eye and a wonderful laugh in front of journalists and television cameras, but over the years he could become more irritated and bitter in public.

God Ibrahimovic

Zlatan has always gone his own way and that is why so many admire and love him. On the pitch, he has been a primordial force who could surprise with the most sensational tricks and dream goals – on the side, he has been a quote machine who always stood out from the crowd of boring footballers.

But we have never gotten to know the real “Ibra” despite over 20 years in the public eye. Over the years he has been a lion and a god, building a persona around himself as this invincible champion.

The real Zlatan

It has given him a cult status in the football world that will live on for a long time. While his closest friends and family are the only ones who really know who the real Zlatan Ibrahimovic is.

After years of clichés and rehearsed quotes, we have now seen the real Zlatan in a public appearance, because I have never seen the player from Rosengård so human and vulnerable. Then Zlatan is a guest on the American YouTube program “Hot Ones” and is literally grilled by the presenter Sean Evanssee the video below.

“Killing me”

The popular program involves celebrities being invited and allowed to answer personal questions while eating chicken wings dipped in extremely strong sauces. Ibrahimovic begins the interview with his characteristic cockiness, but with each chili sauce we get a layer closer to his innermost self.

It is so fascinating to see this development and when Zlatan starts to open his pants you know that he is completely comfortable in the situation and therefore himself. Once at the last chili sauce, which measures an improbable 2,693,000 Scoville, he is about to throw in the towel, see the video below.
“Not even the defenders had a chance to succeed with this,” says Zlatan as he drops to his knees in agony.
“Brother, you’re killing me!”
