And so the new MCU chapter conjures up one last huge revelation from the witch’s hat, which brings the spin-off even closer together with WandaVision than before.

Huge Marvel reveal in Agatha All Along explained: It’s all just a hex
The finale of Agatha All Along is a surprise in itself. Because the actual conclusion of the main plot, including the atypically told Marvel final fight, already takes place in episode 8, while the last episode is largely a prequel to Agatha Harkenss’ (Kathryn Hahn) tragic backstory and the truth about the witch path illuminated. But let’s start from the beginning.
After Rio was recently revealed as Lady Death, the Grim Reaper now wants to grab Billy (Joe Locke) because he has broken the rules of life and death – and breaks again to bring his brother Tommy’s soul back to life. Ultimately, Agatha sacrifices herself to save the young magician. The main character is dead, the trials of the witch’s path have been completed… and then the huge twist follows.
At the end of episode 8, Billy returns home to his parents and has a moment of awakening. Everywhere in his room he recognizes objects that are reminiscent of places and events on the Witch’s Trail. What follows is the biggest reveal of Agatha All Along, which recontextualizes everything seen before: Billy created the entire witch path himself using magic (unknowingly)..
Agatha All Along is revealed to be a genuine sequel to WandaVision. This time it wasn’t the Scarlet Witch who created a sitcom reality. Instead, it is her son Billy aka Wiccan who manipulates reality and created a hexwhich takes the form of a magical dimension full of witch trials.
Unlike his “mother”, however, Billy is only aware of his magical creation after the fact. And in keeping with the spirit of the Maximoff family, he now bears a heavy burden of guilt: because he unknowingly has responsible for the deaths of four peoplewho lost their lives through the creation of his hex: Sharon Davis, Alice Wu-Gulliver, Lila Calderu and ultimately Agatha Harkness.
The Big Lie by Agatha Harkness: The Witch’s Way never existed
The series finale itself (episode 9) then provides further background to the big twist and an explanation for the series title. We find out that the myth of the witch’s path and the associated song were invented by Agatha and her little son Nicholas became. After his death, Agatha used the now-spread legend to trap other witches and steal their power.
The entire Witch’s Way adventure can be traced back to a lie by Agatha Harkness, which was brought to life by Billy’s magical powers centuries later. If you would like to watch the series again, you can numerous references to the big twist find. Among other things:
Was the entire Marvel series just an illusion? Anyone who fears after the Hex revelation that perhaps nothing from the previous episodes ever happened can breathe a sigh of relief. Even though the Witch’s Path and its trials were created by magic, the experiences of the coven and the tragic deaths of individual members were definitely real.
Is Agatha All Along getting a second season on Disney+?
A direct continuation of the new Marvel series in the form of a second season is not yet officially planned is rather unlikely. Instead, the finale sets the stage for a return of the two main characters Agatha and Billy in a different form.
Based on her story from the Marvel comics, Agatha returns as a ghost after her death to accompany Billy as a spiritual mentor from then on. And they already have a common mission: in the end they decide to look for Tommy togetherwhose soul has awakened somewhere in a recently deceased teenager.
An official return of Billy and Agatha has not yet been confirmed. However, there are already rumors that Marvel Studios is working on a Wiccan series that could cover the quest of the wizard-spirit duo. An appearance by Tommy in the series Vision, which focuses on the father of the WandaVision twins, would also be conceivable 2026 on Disney+ should appear.
One thing is certain: we haven’t seen the last of Billy Kaplan aka Wiccan (and therefore also ghost Agatha). After all, the MCU has just introduced us to one of the most important members of the Young Avengers from the comics, whose story not only brings the two reincarnated brothers together, but also reunites them with their mother Wanda.
