Defenseman Olli Määttä, who started his NHL season in Detroit, is moving to Utah.
Defenseman who represented the Detroit Red Wings Olli Määtä has been traded to Utah Hockey Club’s NHL team. In exchange, Detroit gets a third-round pick in the trade.
Määtta has played seven games in Detroit’s shirt in the preseason and has not scored any power points.
Utah is the Fifth NHL club of Määtä’s career. In addition to Detroit, Määtt has previously represented Pittsburgh Penguins, Chicago Blackhawks and Los Angeles Kings. In Pittsburgh, Määtta celebrated the Stanley Cup championship twice.
