(Finance) – Japanese consumer sentiment deteriorates. According to what was communicated by the Institute for Economic and Social Research of the Japanese Cabinet Office, the confidence index stood at 36.2 points in October from 36.9 in September and below the expectations of analysts who were for a decline limited to 36.7 points.
The decline in spending intentions on durable goods (-1.3 points), those on incomes (-0.7 points) and employment (-0.6 points and those on the style of life (-0.2 points).
The index still remains below the threshold of 50 points, highlighting the persistence of a negative climate among families in the Land of the Rising Sun.
