(Finance) – Sacal, management company of Calabria airportsinaugurated the winter season which includes, in the airports of Lamezia, Reggio Calabria and Crotone, a total of 38 routes, of which 10 new destinations, as well as an increase in frequencies in connections already operated. The elimination of the municipal surcharge of 6.5 euros per passenger will encourage the relaunch of air services to and from Calabria.
At Reggio Calabria airport, where Ryanair has based a second plane, there are seven new routes (Brussels, Frankfurt, Katowice, London Stansted, Milan Bergamo, Paris Beauvais and Pisa) introduced by the Irish carrier. Furthermore, ITA Airways has added a third daily flight to Milan Linate, as well as to Lamezia, where Ryanair has opened flights to Tirana and Brussels, boosting frequencies on other routes. During the Christmas period, you will also fly from Lamezia to Perugia with Aeroitalia. The domestic offer will continue to be available in Crotone, with flights to Bologna, Milan Bergamo, Rome Fiumucinio Turin and Treviso.
