Frida Karlsson has a foot injury and misses the national team skiers’ camp in Val Senales.
Instead, she does rehab training in Tenerife.
– She’s pretty good at seeing what she has to do and gets motivated by having a plan and going for something, says her friend Maja Dahlqvist to Sportbibeln.
Frida Karlsson25, is forced to leave the Swedish high-altitude camp in Italy’s Val Senales to focus instead on rehabilitating his foot injury in Tenerife. She is there to get in shape for the competitions in Bruksvallarna in about three weeks.
“The last time I saw her…”
The question is whether the Swedish superstar has time to recover for the start of the season in Finnish Ruka in a month? There are divided opinions about it.

Frida got a foot injury during the training camp in Vålådalen. It forced her to skip the national team gathering in Italy to instead fly to Tenerife where she is now cycling to stay in shape while her foot recovers.
– The last time I met her was in Vålådalen, when we were on snow a week or so ago. Then she went to Tenerife right after that, so it’s probably been mostly contact on Snapchat and I think it was the right choice to make what she’s doing now. To take it a little day by day and take it step by step. As long as she is injury-free, she will go really fast, says the best friend Maja Dahlqvist30, to the Sports Bible.
CHRONICLE: Frida Karlsson has not learned from old mistakes
However, she is not particularly worried about her friend. Maja believes that Frida is quite used to taking care of herself when she is injured and she knows what needs to be done.
Believe in best friend
Maja Dahlqvist is convinced that her best friend will come back stronger and better than ever once she has rehabilitated her injury.
– She’s pretty good at seeing what she has to do and gets motivated by having a plan and going for something, so I think she’s there now. At least I hope so, she says.
Frida herself says that she of course hopes to be back at Bruksvallarna (November 22-24), but that it is by no means a given. It is unclear whether she will be able to participate in the World Cup premiere in Finnish Ruka the following week.
