Recall of eggs contaminated with salmonella: the complete list of products

Recall of eggs contaminated with salmonella the complete list of

New eggs are being recalled throughout France.

The list goes on and on. New boxes of eggs potentially contaminated with salmonella (bacteria which attack the digestive system causing symptoms similar to gastroenteritis) have been recalled since October 28. The first recalls were communicated on Friday October 25. Eggs sold at Carrefour, Lidl, U stores, Auchan, Intermarché, Leclerc, Maximo or even by Resto du coeur must not be eaten but thrown away or returned to the place of sale for a refund. Added to this on October 28 were Volaé eggs sold at Intermarché. It’s not easy for consumers to find their way around and know whether or not the eggs they have in their refrigerator can be eaten without fear.

In the event of salmonella poisoning, symptoms (diarrhea, vomiting, headache or even fever) occur within 6 to 72 hours (3 days) following consumption. These symptoms may be more pronounced in young children, pregnant women, immunocompromised individuals and the elderly. Do not hesitate to consult the treating physician, informing him of the consumption. In the absence of symptoms within 7 days after consumption of the products concerned, there is, a priori, no more risk. As a reminder, cooking eggs at +65°C destroys bacteria.
