The Tour de France 2025 lifts the veil on its route this Tuesday, October 29.

The organizers of the Tour de France 2025 are lifting the veil on the Grande Boucle route this Tuesday, October 29. For this new edition, always eagerly awaited, the North will be in the spotlight with a big departure in Lille on Saturday July 5 for a stage organized 100% around the metropolis. The peloton will stay in the North for a few days with a second stage which will arrive in Boulogne Sur Mer then in Dunkirk on Monday July 7. Who says North, says the cobblestones? Well no, the organizers have decided to do without the sectors.

Nine years after its visit, Normandy should also be in the spotlight with two stages according to Ouest France, including a time trial in the streets of Caen. The town of Vire will host the finish of the 6th stage. The Tour would then pass into Brittany with a new passage towards the famous Mûr-de-Bretagne. The Massif Central will then be on the program before a first break on July 14.

The second part of the Tour promises to be Dantesque. South West And the Dépêche du Midi talk about an arrival at Hautacam, a Loudenvielle – Peyragudes time trial before an XXL stage, certainly the queen stage concluded at Luchon-Superbagnères via the Tourmalet, the Col d’Aspin and the Col de Peyresourde.. .

The third week will put the spotlight on the Alps with the big return of Mont Ventoux on July 22 according to Dauphiné. The Tour de France has not been to the legendary summit since 2016, when, remember, Christopher Froome completed the ascent on foot. The next day, the peloton should go up the Rhône valley in a probably hilly stage between Bollène and Valence before attacking a very mountainous final straight, with first an 18th stage between the agglomeration of Grenoble and the resort of Courchevel with the terrifying Col de la Loze. Finally, no Olympics this year, the Tour will return to its last traditional stage with an arrival on the Avenue des Champs Elysées.
