Otto Virtanen rose to the top 100 in the recent world tennis rankings.
Otto Virtanen rose to 96th place in the tennis men’s world rankings published on Monday, but still holds the position of Finland’s number one player Emil Ruusuvuori. Ruusuvuori, which is on break from competition in its sport, is 91st on the latest ranking list.
For the first time in his career, Virtanen entered the top 100 in the ranking. His rise was sealed by Sunday’s No. 1 ranking at the ATP Challenger Tour tournament in France. The tournament win was Virtanen’s third of the season at challenger level.
The man representing Italy continues to be number one in the men’s world rankings Jannik Sinner.
In the doubles ranking Harri Heliövaara is ranked 13th and his British counterpart Henry Patten in 15th place. They will be playing in Paris this week at the ATP Masters, where they will advance directly to the second round.
