Sara Lappalainen who ended her career returned to the Games

A few weeks ago, the endurance runner announced the end of his sports career Sara Lappalainen put on the race shoes on Sunday. He competed in the PM terrain inspection competition held in Hakunila, Vantaa.

The 33-year-old Lappalainen was third in the 7.5 kilometer cross-country race Taru Palsan mixed Mari Laakkonen after. He was about a minute and a half behind Palsa’s winning time of 27:23.

Lappalainen is especially remembered for his Finnish records of 800 meters and 1,500 meters at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.

Mikko Kauppinen was number one in the men’s race on the same trip. His time was 23 minutes and 46 seconds. Niko Putkinen was another and Julius Taskinen third
