(Finance) – The next one will take place October 30th starting at 3pmin the Church of Sant’Antonio Abate (Palazzo Steri)Road to Social Change“, dedicated to the tourism supply chain.

Road to Social Change is the free training and culture creation course on Integral Sustainabilitystructured by Banking Academy – ESG Italy by UniCreditwhich aims to increase the skills on this topic of companies, non-profit organizations and institutions to generate a positive social impact. There Integral Sustainability it is a business approach capable of combining the economic performance of the activities carried out with the need to reduce environmental impacts and increase social ones, with a perspective intentionally oriented towards reducing inequalities.

Road to Social Change is divided into a digital platform with in-depth content and live talks, also available in live streaming from all over Italy, which in this edition illustrate integral sustainability in five strategic supply chains for the Italian production fabric such as fashion and textiles, materials (ceramics, etc.), agrifood, tourism, healthcare.

In particular, the October 30th stop in Sicily will focus on tourism supply chain; in fact, if this sector is very important for the whole country, the island’s economy recognizes it as one of its “driving engines” from different points of view: value of production, specialization of the production system, contribution to employment with a vocation intrinsic to sustainability.

From the 2021 Road to Social Change reached 6,000 beneficiaries, involving over 2,050 companies in Italy. In 2023, the program involved 1,800 beneficiaries belonging to SMEsnon-profit organizations and institutions. During the three editions of the program, 800 Social Change Managers were trained and certified, a new professional figure capable of supporting the just and fair transition within the company in which they operate, who followed a specific process and passed an assessment dedicated.

The fourth edition of the program, totally free, is as always organized by UniCredit in the context of ESG Italy activities with the Education programs of the Banking Academy and was created in collaboration with AICCON, Fondazione Italiana Accenture ETS, Istud Business School, Cottino Social Impact Campus and TechSoup.

The talk on October 30th in Palermo will be opened by speeches from Salvatore MalandrinoRegional Manager Sicily of UniCredit, e Massimo MidiriRector of the University of Palermo. Following there will be a speech by Giovanni Ruggieriprofessor of economics of tourism and cultural heritage at the University of Palermo. The talk will then continue with the interventions of Laura AnelloPresident of the Le Vie dei Tesori Foundation, Richard BishopPresident of the Terre delle Balestrate Community Cooperative, Leonardo SperaMayor of Contessa Entellina, Giuseppe PontilloPresident Ecclesia Viva Onlus Agrigento, Marella CaramazzaDirector Istud Business School, e Fabio FraticelliChief Operating Officer TechSoup Italia.
