The Swedish pole vault star did Armand Duplantis and the Ukrainian high jumper Jaroslava Mahutjich. Duplantis improved his pole vault world record three times this year to a final 6.26 meters. Mahutjich improved the 37-year-old world record in height by one centimeter to 2.10 meters.
The award was presented at the Golden Tracks gala in Skopje, North Macedonia. Duplantis was not present.
