A 65-year-old man has died in an accident with a boat in Storsjön outside Sandviken. The alarm about the accident came at 9.30 on Sunday.
The smaller boat had capsized and the three men fell into the water. Two of them were able to get ashore themselves, while the rescue service had to pick up the third.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance, but his life could not be saved.
– The other two were hypothermic when we arrived at the scene, but I don’t know if they were taken to hospital, says police spokesperson Stefan Larsson.
A report is drawn up for deaths without suspicion of crime.
