Real Madrid is investigating the events of El Clásico played on Saturday night.

FC Barcelona won the first El Clásico of the season played late on Saturday night in Madrid. Real Madrid fell crushingly 4–0 in the top match of La Liga.

The only 17-year-old who made a splash even in the European Championships this summer Lamine Yamal scored Barcelona’s 3–0 goal at the end of the second half. Spanish magazine Marca says that the teenage sensation was subjected to racist insults after his goal.

Real Madrid has strongly condemned the racist behavior. The club says on its website that it has started an investigation to find the hooligans. Real Madrid will bring forward disciplinary and legal measures.

President of La Liga Javier Tebas had already expressed his concern about racism in Spanish football before the match.

– I am worried about El Clásico and also about other matches because of racists and intolerants, Tebas commented according to Marca.
