These events could have a link with another shooting that occurred Saturday morning in the Maurepas sector in Rennes, where several rival gangs are competing to control deal points. According to Ouest-France, this is linked to drug trafficking. Since August, around ten settlings of scores with firearms have taken place in Rennes.
