The headquarters of Khalifa Babacar Sall, former mayor of the city of Dakarserves as headquarters for the Sam Sa Kadou coalition, of which he is a member. His successor at the head of the capital, Barthelemy Diaz, is also one of them.

Only a handful of officials and activists are present there. Upstairs, the head of organization and logistics, Pathé Ba, explains the lack of mobilization at the start of Saturday afternoon: “ Usually, the day is used to organize at the grassroots and mobilize activists. Because on Sunday, we will organize our opening meeting. »

Everything is still ready to support the different figures vying for the deputation. “ Logistically, everything is ready. So the t-shirts, the caps, all the campaign material is on point, all the work of “branding” has already been carried out », he lists.

The atmosphere is different at headquarters of the Pastef party, in power. Activists discuss while waiting for party leaders to leave, meeting in the premises. Abass Fall, party candidate in Dakar and former MP, already sees himself as the winner of the November 17 election: “ This actually shows that Pastef is not a small party, we are just waiting for discernment to make it a reality, the decree was established by the people of Dakar and the signature will be done on November 17, inch’allah. »
