A formula driver who turned 18 on Saturday Tuukka Taponen is really close to the medal position in the European Formula Regional series, with one race left. Taponen was tenth in the rain race in Monza on Saturday.
Tapos has a points difference with fourth place Italy Alessandro Giusti 20 points, when you get 25 points for a win at best. Instead, the second place in the series seems to have escaped decisively to Australia to James Whartonle.
Wharton was third in the penultimate race. Brazilian Rafael Camara has already secured the victory in the series.
