SVT’s announcement about “På spåret” – a week before the premiere

SVTs announcement about Pa sparet a week before the

It was on September 5, 1987 that “På spåret” saw the light of day for the first time in SVT. Host was Ingvar Oldsbergwho in the years that followed were joined by a number of different judges, including Lennart “Hoa hoa” Dahlgren and Carl Jan Granqvist.

However, he got his real match horse in Björn Hellbergwho for several years acted as a judge in the entertainment program.

But in 2009 it was clear that Oldsberg and Hellberg would no longer be at the helm of “På spåret” and in the SVT documentary “Oldsberg – a boundless giant” the latter has told that the presenter had to leave the program against his will.

– He was very sad about this, said Hellberg and continued:

– I know that Ingvar took it very hard.

Kristian Luuk took over from Ingvar Oldsberg

In the season that spanned between 2009-2010 did instead Christian Luuk entry as presenter. At his side he had the writer and the language historian Fredrik Lindström.

– I am both happy and nervous. Ingvar Oldsberg is a legend. But at the same time I couldn’t say no. I only have positive experiences in accepting challenges, Luuk added The evening paper when the news was announced in February 2009.

The then program manager Christian Wikander further explained to the newspaper why Luuk was chosen as Oldsberg’s successor.

– We were looking for a generally educated person who is quick to respond with humor and warmth. He was one of the names we looked at early on.

– I am completely convinced that Kristian does a brilliant job.

That’s why Kristian Luuk continues with På spåret

For 15 years, Kristian Luuk has asked the now iconic question “where are we going?”. A few years ago, however, he was open that he felt it was soon time to hand over the baton to someone else.

But earlier this year, Luuk explained that he got something out of a “new ignition” around the program. The reason? He has seen how a younger audience has opened their eyes to “På spåret”.

– Fredrik and I showed up as a surprise at a restaurant on Söder in Stockholm that runs “On the track” evenings. You eat, drink, carry and compete in the Duo app and it was bumpy, foggy on the windows – and 90 percent were women aged 25, he told TT earlier and then continued further:

— They didn’t exist when we started 15 years ago, then there were almost only pensioners. In their world, “On the track” has only existed for a few years and then we can’t stop.

Kristian Luuk about Tyst küpe: “Will take it up”

Over the years, “On the Track” segments have both come and gone, including “Who’s There?” and “The List”.

– Countless people have contacted and very bluntly explained that they don’t like “The List”. We can’t be completely tone deaf to it. So we thought about it, said Charles Franzwho was then a producer for the program, to GP when the moment was scrapped.

However, it is not only competitive moments that have disappeared over the years. The ‘Quiet Compartment’ feature, which allows viewers at home on the TV sofas to cancel out the sound from inside the cages, has also been scrapped – prompting complaints from some.

“Why isn’t there a silent compartment? Terrible having to sit there ready to turn off the sound but hear the correct answer before the clue is even finished reading. Ruining the whole show,” one person wrote on Facebook last season.

“Please SVT bring back silent coupe! So frustrating with spoilers from the contestants during the clues,” wrote another.

And the viewers’ wish actually reached all the way to Kristian Luuk. When one person asked to bring back “Quiet compartment”, in the comments section of the presenter’s Instagram, he replied:

“Will take it up with the producer.”

So what has actually become of “Quiet compartment”? News24 asked SVT, which gave the following answer:

“No, we currently have no plans to reintroduce ‘Quiet Compartment’. The reason is that although it was appreciated by those who used it, very few actually did.”

“The last time we had Tyst küpe in 2020, less than half a percent of viewers used the service. We therefore choose to use our resources for other purposes.”
