Paris-Bercy Masters 1000: Djokovic and Nadal absent, Gasquet and Monfils present, program and TV broadcast

Paris Bercy Masters 1000 Djokovic and Nadal absent Gasquet and Monfils

The Paris-Bercy tournament begins on Saturday October 26 and ends on Sunday November 3 for the final.

Before the grand final and the end-of-year Masters in Turin bringing together all the best players of the year, the Paris-Bercy tournament begins this weekend with the first round on Saturday October 26. The Parisian tournament will be orphaned by the seven-time winner, the Serbian Novak Djokovic who had to forfeit. Bad news for him in the race for the Masters since Novak Djokovic was not yet qualified and he lost the 1000 points acquired last year.

Good news all the same for the Parisian public who are expected in large numbers, Richard Gasquet or even Gaël Monfils were invited for this Rolex Paris Masters. For Richard Gasquet, who will retire in a few months, this is his last Parisian tournament. Adrian Mannarino and Giovanni Mpetshi-Perricard were also invited for this week of competition. Unsurprisingly, Rafael Nadal who announced his retirement and who will play one last time in the Davis Cup, has withdrawn. “It’s true that it was a real option for him to come to Paris to play matches, a form of logic given that the Davis Cup will be his final curtain, but no, he did not make a request” , explained tournament boss Cédric Pioline.
